  • The Junior Novice class will race Saturday through KPI ( please register with KPI for Saturday's Junior Novice race ). KPI'S Junior Novice will race ORA' s track for this, ORA is planning to run this race first thing in the morning on Saturday. ORA's junior novice class will race on Sunday and you will need to register with ORA for Sunday's race.

Kids Pro Ice Race - March 3rd 2012 - Relocated to Garrison,MN:

  • Due to ice conditions in the metro area, KPI's last race will be back at Garrison for 3-3-2012 and the award ceremony will be at the Blue Goose Inn.
  • Hotel information - KPI has a block rate of rooms for the March 3rd race at: Garrison Inn & Suites - 320-692-4050 (2 night stay required) of $211.62 ask for Kids Pro Ice block, block release date, 2-29-2012.
  • Grill~n at Garrison - 2-25-2012 - Plates,silverware and napkins will be provided by the Jureks (Beckys parents), if you have questions on donations, please contact Tim & Sue Johnson.

  • Race Site Location - The race site will be at Ramsey County Beach, on the north end of White Bear Lake. When you enter the park, veer to the left and head towards the boat landing. The race track is located just south of the boat landing. You can drive along the shoreline and park on the ice in front of the race track. There is 16" of ice and the lake is extremely shallow, you can park with your truck on the beach and trailer on the ice if you choose.
  • Race Track - Thanks again to Dan Steuernagel, we have a shaved track in place.
  • Ice Shaving Fee - Ice shaving fee will be $15.00 per/ family this weekend.
  • Awards Banquet - Will be held at the White Bear Lake VFW. Parking is limited in front of the VFW, you can park trucks and trailers in the mini mall parking lot, just south of the VFW.

I put the information out, so anyone thinking of going to the KC Pro East Nationals on Sunday, March 4th to run LCQ, would have the correct registration information.

I am working fast on another location, ( Center City ) and hope to have a answer today.

  • The following is a message from KC Pro East regarding registration for Nationals, March 3rd - 4th. Please see there website for more information.

Please remember to preregister by Feb 17th for Northern Lakes Nationals.  We will be ordering trophies according to the number of racers entered per class so it is VERY important that you register on time. Also note that registration will be $15.00 per class because this is a larger race event.  Send registration to metzracing@directv.net no later than midnight on Feb 17th.

  • 2-18-2012 - Big Lake,MN ( State Championship ) as of now is on! We will be at Big Lake,MN for are State Championship. Due to ice conditions and lack of entry's outside Kids Pro Ice, this will be a one day race. Stay tuned for more info.
  • Awards Banquet - Will be held on April 28th 2012, at the Holiday Inn Mpls NW and Wild Woods Waterpark, Elk River, MN. Banquet information will be passed out at the State Championship on February 18 2012.

]]>Forest Lake - Race Is On!http://www.kidsproice.org/home/2012/2/3/forest-lake-race-is-on.htmlScott2012-02-03T18:38:54ZWe have a shaved track in place at Forest Lake, MN! The ice is holding up,thanks to the cloud cover today. Bring a pair of spikes for your boots, the ice is very slippery ( be careful ).

  • Parking - We still can park on the ice along the shoreline to the north of the boat landing ( KPI trucks and trailers only). You may use the boat landing parking lot if you wish.
  • Champ Class - We are going to run the Champ Class after Vintage Kitty Cat, then continue the race order as normal. The reason for this is to try and save the ice for the rest of the day. Hopefully running the Champs in the morning when it cooler,won't chew the track up as bad.
  • There will be a $10.00 ice shaving fee per family.
  • Please, don't forget to have your racers ready for the group picture following the drivers meeting.
